Effective Display
Course Description
This session provides an indepth approach to effective display in early years. It refreshes our knowledge and skills of the principles of effective display and the importance of promoting children's self esteem and confidence and hpw display can be used to achieve this. It provides a creative, exciting approach and includes the use of lettering, formats, photography, craft and innovative concepts of interactive display work. Candidates will be given the opportunity to make prototype models of display work, and the course has strong links to learning and development and enabling environment requirements of the E.Y.F.S.
This session is delivered over 2 x 3hr sessions or 1 full day (6hr) session.
Aims and Objectives
To consider the use of lettering and format.
To develop new approaches to backing and borders.
To consider 3D hands on displays.
To develop a fresh understanding and new ideas on the use of photography, craft and children's art.
To explore the innovative concepts of interactive display work.
To have the opportunity to make prototype models.
To consider how parents can be involved in display work and working in partnership.
To promote anti-discriminatory practice through display.
